item #6925 is an oversized 1½” taper per foot spiral flute ball joint and tie rod taper reamer made out of M2 high speed steel. This reamer is used for larger ball joints and tie rod ends found on construction vehicles, construction equipment, fire trucks, box trucks, semi-trucks, farm equipment, fork lifts, military vehicles and equipment, etc. This reamer will work for anything over 3/4” on the small end at 1 ½” taper per foot.

USE
This reamer will do production runs and cut material quickly at speeds from 100 to 180 RPM. The use of a full pecking cycle and oil-based coolant is strongly recommended for maximum performance and finish. This reamer is designed to be used in a CNC or manual machine with a 1/2” collet for extra rigidity. It can also be used by hand with a large tap wrench. Keep in mind, this reamer is not a drill. Run this reamer at half the speed (RPM) and twice the feed that you would a drill.
